WORKPLACE WELLNESS

The Athlete Ready Corporate Wellness Program utilizes our expertise in strength and conditioning, speed and agility, and movement and mobility and applies it to the workplace group. Similarly to our sports teams programs we create personalized programs with individualized attention within the group setting. The camaraderie and mutual support gained in our corporate training sessions translates to the workplace environment so employees perform better together.

Our commitment is to make our corporate partnerships be a strategic investment for businesses aiming to increase productivity, reduce absenteeism, and lower healthcare costs. When leadership fosters a healthier workforce, companies often see improved morale and engagement, which translates to better performance and higher profits. These programs also attract top talent and improve retention, contributing to a positive company culture that values employee health. The cumulative effect of these benefits is a stronger, more competitive organization with a healthy bottom line driven by a committed and efficient workforce.

CORPORATE WELLNESS TRAINING FAQs

How does physical fitness relate to wellbeing?

Physical well-being encompasses both health and fitness, particularly highlighting one's capacity to engage in sports, work-related tasks, and routine activities. Achieving such a state of fitness hinges on not just consistent physical exercise but maximizing that exercise to make it efficient and healthy. We not only want quick and sustainable gains that obtain our client's goals for their conditioning and physiques, but we want our clients to maintain pain-free bodies that move well for life.

Appropriate recovery, adequate rest, and balanced nutrition, alongside a holistic approach that includes mental and social well-being also form the core of our philosophy on how fitness and well-being are symbiotically related.

Comprehensive fitness regimens, tailored to individual needs and encompassing aerobic and anaerobic capacities, not only enhance physical well-being but also support mental health by alleviating anxiety and depression symptoms. Furthermore, regular physical activity plays a crucial role in preventing chronic conditions related to sedentary lifestyles and aging, underscored by research that positions the muscle-skeletal muscle as an endocrine organ releasing myokines during exercise, promoting tissue growth, repair, and reducing inflammation. All of which helps to control blood pressure, prevent cancer, reduced inflammation, boost the immune system, control weight, and lead to better sleep.

As business owners ourselves, we certainly want these health benefits for our employees and take this philosophy into our corporate wellness programs and partnerships.

What is a corporate wellness program?

A corporate or workplace wellness program is an initiative undertaken by employers to promote the health and well-being of their employees. These programs encompass a wide range of activities such as exercise and fitness sessions, nutritional advice, mental health support, and preventive healthcare screenings.

Athlete Ready provides fitness and wellness classes, nutrition programs, and massage therapy for our corporate clients.

How do we encourage employee participation in the wellness program and ensure the success of the program?

According to a 2015 study in the American College of Sports Medicine Health & Fitness Journal some of the best ways to ensure the popularity and success of workplace wellness programs are:

  1. Leadership providing vision, resources, active support, accountability, and modeling.
  2. Individualized programs that include help with the amount of time employees spend sitting in chairs at desks and that also address social and emotional support.
  3. Partnerships that represent the employees and integrate with the local community.
  4. Building comprehensive programs that include education, a supportive environment within the workplace and among employees, "integration of the worksite program into the organization’s structure, linkage to related programs, and worksite screening programs."
  5. Coordinated implementation with proper planning and execution that includes ongoing surveys, monitoring, and accountability.
  6. Fostering engagement: "Elements that promote respect throughout the organization, build trust, facilitate program co-ownership through participatory principles, ensure worker representation in decision-making processes, provide meaningful incentives that leverage intrinsic motivation and fit the company culture, and create a workplace environment in which health management programs thrive."
  7. Open communication by making the program visible and marketing it to employees, and having multiple avenues of communication with employees.
  8. Decisions informed by data through the processes of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information, followed by comprehensive reporting and analytics.
  9. Being HIPAA compliant and ensuring employee privacy.

What is your schedule of corporate wellness classes?

We can offer classes throughout the day and evenings during the week, and in the morning on Saturdays. Please give us a call today to find out about our schedule and finding the right time for you.

What are your prices?

Prices depend on frequency and commitment. The more classes or sessions per week and the longer the commitment, the lower the price. We also have discounts when nutrition and/or massage are included.

We understand the initial hesitations one might have—whether it's concerns about cost or being hesitant about commitment—but like so many of our corporate wellness clients have attested, they've gotten exceptional value and are glad they joined.

Please call us today to find out about our current rates.
