Nestled in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains, Placitas offers an exceptional setting for outdoor sports enthusiasts, with trails that are perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian activities, allowing residents and visitors alike to engage in year-round sports adventures. The area's high elevation and varied terrain provide an excellent training ground for athletes interested in high altitude training, which enhances endurance and performance.
Athlete Ready ensures that athletes in Placitas maximize their potential. Our mission is to help our Placitas clients begin their journey, and assist the best to compete and perform better.
Our facility is conveniently located in north Albuquerque and is easily and quickly accessible from Placitas. We also provide remote training and coaching through our Athlete Ready Global app.
We consider our small group classes to be semi-private. They include individualized workouts and programming, and due to their small size each students gets particular attention and instruction by the coach. These classes are a more cost-efficient option than private sessions.
Private one-one sessions can focus on particular goals, challenges, and situations from specialized performance coaching for athletes to injury and chronic pain rehab.
Our expert coaches all have top qualifications, including BA, BS, and MS and certifications from CSCS, NASM, IYCA, USA-Weightlifting, Exos, FRC, GOATA, and NFPT among others.
Our team also proudly boasts a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with advanced degrees as well as several experienced Licensed Massage Therapists.

Our current classes include: Youth Athletic Performance (in 3 different classes ages 13+, 8–12, and 6–8), College Prep, Adult Fitness, and Adult Wellness.
We also offer sports team and corporate fitness & wellness classes. During the summer we often have specialized youth sports training such as our soccer academy.
We offer classes Monday–Saturday. Our specific time slots can vary depending on time of year so please give us a call today to find out about our current schedule.
Prices depend on frequency and commitment. The more classes or sessions per week and the longer the commitment, the lower the price. We also have discounts when nutrition and/or massage are included.
